The collective show powered by Atelier Montez and promoted by the Lazio Region and by the Municipality of Marino – Department of Culture – presents a path to discover new suggestions and experiments, where an impotent sense of despair in the face of society’s problems becomes the leitmotif of the artworks present in the exhibition curated by Antonio Canova. I

n the previous months the participating artists Marcella Persichetti, Sergio Angeli, Corrado Delfini, Angelo Secondini, Gio Montez, met at the Atelier Montez to dialogue and produce the artworks to be exhibited at the museum, developing a constructive dialogue that gave rise to curious unpublished works of art that play with the “matter of absence”, evoking the planned obsolescence of industrial products, which quickly become wrecks, and only then return to take on interesting forms for the artists, which have explored this matter between solids and voids, lights and shadows.

The artist Gio Montez finally decided not to show off, that is to say not to attend the inauguration of the exhibition, preferring instead to enjoy his time smoking an excellent Cuban cigar.
